Resto my Ride hits the road

What a great day to meet all the Variety Bash participants at The Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne. Hundreds of people attended the early morning festivities including a few dragons, sheep, punks, camels and even the odd clown!

2016 commemorates the 26th anniversary of the Variety Vic Bash. This year the Bash is heading to parts of Australia that it’s never been to before.

Team Resto and the other participants (lets call them The Bashers) will spend the first day driving through the north west of the state before spending their first night in Mildura.

Leaving Victoria behind the Bashers will travel renowned Bash tracks of South Australia to the remotely beautiful Wilpena Pound.

Coober Pedy is the next destination and is known as having the largest opal fields in the world. Hope Team resto finds the odd opal….or two!

Erldunda will be the first overnight stop in the Northern Territory as the journey continues North to visit the remotely beautiful Kings Canyon in the Watarrka National Park. The Bashers then travel to Alice Springs in the heart of Australia.

Leaving Alice, the Bashers will travel further north to Tennant Creek and from there it’s on to Katherine.

The final part of the journey is hitting the Top end for a celebratory finish in Darwin.
